Kaival Dharma:
The Kaival Dharma was established in Vikram Samvat 1829 by Paramguru Shreemat KarunaSagar Maharaj, who appeared in a forest in Kasor Gaam, Gujarat, India.
Paramguru focused on the concept of Kaival Karta, identified as the Universal God, and provided guidance on leading a righteous life and worshipping this singular divinity. Central to the principles of Kaival Dharma is the belief in one God, Kaival Karta, who transcends limitations of gender, race, or physical form. This doctrine aims to dispel the misconception of Hindu polytheism, asserting that all deities are simply various manifestations of Karta, each serving specific purposes but not to be regarded as separate gods.
Paramguru emphasizes the distinction between viewing him as a guru rather than a deity. His role is to guide devotees towards Karta and facilitate their journey towards salvation.
Amar Mantra:
The Amar Mantra, "Ohanga sohang sat charan, Yugala roopanga tvam namaami," was imparted by PARAMGURU SHREEMAT KARUNASAGAR. Regarded as one of the most powerful mantras globally, it holds profound significance relating to human physiology, particularly the brain and respiratory system.
Reciting the Amar mantra serves two primary purposes:
- It allows practitioners to submit themselves to Kaival Karta.
- It acknowledges their identity as an 'ANSHA' (a part) of Kaival Karta.
The mantra can be interpreted as an expression of devotion to the creator and controller of the universe (Kaival Karta) as an 'ANSHI' (the whole). When invoking the Amar mantra, practitioners are asserting their existence as an 'ANSHA' while recognizing their connection with the divine.
This connection affirms that the eternal 'ANSHA,' which governs the physical body, is sustained by the inherent energy derived from "Sohanga-Pranavs" (the respiratory system). In this context, the practitioner recognizes their separation from mental constructs such as intellect and ego while offering reverence to Kaival Karta.
The divine energy present within the 'ANSHA' activates internal controls ('Ohanga' and 'Sohanga'), preserving not only physical vitality but also ensuring that the body's functions remain efficient and responsive. The synergy between the divine essence of the 'ANSHA' and its vital processes is fundamental to sustaining life.
